Frequently Asked Questions
1. How long will my repairs take?
This answer varies from one vehicle to the next. The more severe the damage, the longer the car needs to be at the shop and the more involved the repairs will be. After you get an estimate written, the shop can order up the parts and schedule a time for you to drop-off your car. The person handling your repairs will contact you throughout the repair process to keep you updated. We never want to speed through repairs to get them out the door as quickly as possible, rather we want to ensure that the necessary work is done correctly and to our technicians best ability.
2. Is the rental car free?
We understand the inconvenience of having your car in the repair shop, and we will work with you to make sure you are provided with transportation during this time. In the event that you do not have rental car coverage through your insurance company, we are willing to work with you to keep rental costs at a minimum. Rental cars will be conveniently available at each of our 6 locations.
3. Are the repairs done at Heppners guaranteed? What if something Heppners repairs gets damaged again?
Yes, Heppners provides each customer with a written lifetime warranty. For as long as you own the repaired vehicle, Heppners will guarantee its repairs. We employ the most qualified and industry-trained body technicians and painters, and put our full-trust in their quality workmanship. We guarantee the parts and paint and any mechanical repairs incurred, which directly relate to the original collision damage. If you begin to notice any issues relating to your repair at Heppners, please give the shop a call and we will certainly work with you to resolve any defects that may arise in relation to your collision repair work.
4.Does it matter which Heppners I bring my car to?
You are able to choose whichever Heppners location is most convenient to you. Whether you live in Hudson or Downtown St. Paul, there is a Heppners that is ready to serve you.
Certain shops may be busier than others, especially during the hectic winter months, and when you call-in to schedule your repairs, you may be told that we will be able to repair your car more quickly at another location. Shop managers know how many cars there are able to take-in at any given time, and will be honest with you in letting you know that one of our other locations may be able to fix the car more quickly.

5. Do I need to schedule an appointment for an estimate? How long will an estimate take?
An appointment is not necessary for a free estimate; we have estimators at each shop waiting for you to stop-in today. An estimate usually takes 10-20 minutes, depending on the severity of the damage and how easily parts are found to quote you a reasonable price.
You are also able to submit an estimate electronically via our website. You can give a brief description of the damage, and attach up to 5 pictures of the vehicle. One of our estimators will contact you within 24 hours to discuss the estimate and schedule a time for you to bring the vehicle in.

6. Are there certain insurance companies Heppners prefers to work with? Do you accept all insurance claims?
We work with all insurance companies, and have long-standing relationships with the most respected carriers in the market today. Each of our repair shops has certain insurance companies they work closely with, and these carriers have designated Heppner’s as ‘direct repair facilities’.
We pride ourselves on the fact that companies like State Farm, Farmers, American Family, Allstate, Progressive and others, have entrusted Heppners with the confidence to get their policyholders the highest quality repairs available. We work diligently everyday to make sure our relationships with local insurance agents remain strong.
